Detailed Description

National Earth System Science Data Center - Yangtze River Delta Sub-Center was established with support from Nanjing Normal University, and is responsible for the construction of the Key Laboratory of Virtual Geographic Environment of the Ministry of Education and the Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Science of Jiangsu Province. The goal is to build a long-term stable operation and resource-rich data service website platform to track hot issues in the Yangtze River Delta region, develop governance projects and projects, and actively provide online data services. Excavate, rescue, sort out and integrate the data resources of climate resources and atmospheric environment, water resources and water environment, soil resources and soil environment, biological resources and ecological environment of geology, geography, atmospheric science, environmental science, Marine science and other disciplines to serve the research of earth science. Train a group of technical and management professionals at different levels of data fusion, data service and data sharing, and promote the sustainable, stable and healthy development of sharing projects.

Based on years of geological research accumulation, shared technology accumulation, data accumulation and hardware construction, as well as good cooperative relations with many relevant universities and research institutes, this site brings together data, materials and maps that have been accumulated for a long time and have very important value, and carries out systematic and serialized integration of earth system science research results between universities and research institutes. Provide data sharing and information services. The construction of the center can provide a platform for data sharing and exchange for Earth system science research in the Yangtze River Delta region, and provide data support for Earth system science research and regional sustainable development decision-making.
